This document represents a pilot project aimed at sensitizing the reader on ways and principles of reuse, recycle and reduce. The time is now right for each citizen of this country to contribute meaningfully towards environmental preservation.

Because of the absence of the necessary infrastructure it is not possible to deal with or to address the many environmental problems with which we are faced. Being aware, however, of the many difficulties which must be addressed, is the first step in finding satisfactory solutions.

T&T is faced with an almost insurmountable task of saving our environment from further degradation and destruction. It is now the responsibility of each and every one of us to take whatever steps possible to reverse this potentially catastrophic trend. Success or failure will be measured by our ability to educate the masses, and in particular the very young people of this country, in preservation of our national patrimony.
